Attachement of Earnings advice

New to this site and need advice urgently.
Declared bankrupt in August 2011, EJO have now said that because I am single with no children they want to take up to £500 from my salary for the next 3 years. My employer has allowed me to reduce my hours to reduce my income until my discharge in September 2012 so they take less, a lot of my outgoings the EJO did not make allowance for in their assessment. Can you tell me if my employer defers my income until September when my Bankruptcy ends is there any comeback from the EJO? Do they have the right to request information about my salary after my discharge date?

So this isn't actually an IPA or it is the alternative to you paying an IPA for 3 years?
Do you have £500 surplus every month from your salary after all your priority bills are paid?

It would seem the OP has an Attachment of Earnings order against them...?
Was the Order made before the OP petitioned BR?
Who was the creditor who sought the order?
Does the relevant EJO actually know the OP is BR?
[Am I missing something? Or should an Attachment of Earnings cease once BR has been ordered?]No, I don't think all other drivers are idiots......but some are determined to change my mind.......0 -
No you are right, if a former creditor has an AOE then when you are declared BR it should cease.BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0

Think OP needs to contact The Insolvency Service Tel: 02890 251441
