Whole House Clean, how much roughly would it cost?

Hi, hope I'm posting this in the right place.

To cut a long story short, my house needs a complete, thorough clean from top to bottom as I never seem to find the time to do any proper cleaning, so many other things to do,etc... I've decided that as there's a New Year approaching I'd like to get the house professionally cleaned, as a one off, and then I'm going to up my own act to keep it that way...easier said then done;) Anyway, my question is, has anyone any idea how much this would cost me? Its a four bedroom, two bathroom semi detached house with a fair sized kitchen and a large lounge.

Any help appreciated

Sue

    hi sue,

it depends on the area you live and who you get in.

A friend of mine charges between £8 and £12 per hour, but this includes all cleaning products which she buys herself and fuel costs. She also does a set day rate depending on the customer.

So when phoning aorund ask if it includes the cleaning products.

  • We had a deep clean done a few weeks ago for Christmas which included steaming floors, paint work, inside of kitchen cupboards etc We have 4 bedrooms, 1 full bathroom, 2 shower rooms and a small downstairs loo, 2 sitting rooms, conservatory, a largish kitchen and dining room as well as a reasonably sized vestibule, stairs and top landing and it was £180. They also did the insides of all windows and that was for 6 hours for 3 cleaners.

A company will provide all cleaning products, equipment, fully insured staff and will charge you around £15 an hour per staff member, maybe more in the London area or you could pay a local cleaner the going rate which is £8 to £10 (£12 in London) and provide everything yourself including insurance.

All three cleaners were here at the same time for 6 hours.
