Asda Toy discounted before Christmas...

I noticed that my local Asda have knocked almost 25% off their stock of a lego toy I bought via Asda Direct 2 weeks ago. Then it was £39. Now it is £30.
Can I go in and demand the difference?
If not, if I return the item would I be able to get a full refund and then buy the toy at the cheaper price? I don't have to worry about poastage as it was a collect in store order.
I accept that prices will fall after the 25th but to have such a big cut with 11 days to go is a bit much to stomach and would seem the penalise me for being organised this year!
