Good smoked salmon

Can anyone point me towards a supplier of good Northern Irish smoked salmon - obviously at the right price? I'm sure there is nothing wrong with Tesco, Asda or even M&S but I would like to get some local salmon

Don't think there is such a thing. Glenarm Organic Salmon afaik are the only salmon producers in NI but they don't smoke it.

There was an article in the Derry Journal the other day where the chef of Brown's restaurant recommended Donegal Prime Fish for their smoked salmon. They are based in Derry and their web address is http://www.donegalprimefish.net/.

Thanks for the replies.

I spent some time yesterday trying to find any source of 'home-grown' smoked salmon and I think the best bet is going to be a trip to Ewing's or Sawyer's in Belfast.

Glenarm didn't appear to sell to the public and I get the impression that Donegal Prime Fish is more commercial then retail - but thanks for the input.

There is a place in Portavogie co. Down that sells smoked salmon to the public. Think the last time i bought it it was £18 quid for side of smoked salmon. Pm if you want the details.
