I need a mortgage, asap.

:money:

hello all.

well today we looked at our new house. finger crossed.

weve put an offer in and it has been accepted at 105,000. and we have a 10% deposit.

The estate agent said they want our solicitors details on monday. (is this correct) they also said they want our mortgage in principal. (is this correct). Any im sorting the solicitor out first thing monday morning. and i have a surveyor ready, (habitvs).

Ive sorted life and mortgage ins out myself.

I earn £22000 gross and partner earns £13500 gross.
Im self employed 3yrs, and have proof of earnings and tax return etc, have been working for hays construction agency for 6 months now and i have a weekly official payslip from them.

Im after a mortgage for 30 years. 10yr fixed initially. repayment. Ive done some research and have found 2 that fits my spec.

arr fee / val fee (true cost 10yr)

Bradford and Bingley
5.39% £530p/m monthly interest 5yr tie £499 £315 (64,760)

West Bromwich
5.25% £521p/m daily interest 10yr tie £945 £125 (63,939)

Im torn between these two, bradford and bingley only has 5yr tie in, which could sway it.

the thing is the figures do not add up to the true cost over 10 yrs. (the figures were provided by the website) 120 months x monthly payement + both fees.

anyway does anybody have any recomendations or advice,. im open to offers. hopefully fees free.

thanks.

  • Do you want someone to beat those deals or just someone who will tell you which one is best? How do you know if you fit the criteria?

Also I was always under the impression the estate agent will ask to see the paperwork of your mortgage approval paperwork beforehand ??
