Agreed overdraft charges

Hi - couldnt find a thread about this so sorry if this is duplication. I have an account with the Bank of Scotland (agreed overdraft of £1000) and have just been charged £2 for the account being in overdraft by a few pounds for a couple of days. May not seem like a big deal but hate to see the Bank get any more of my limited funds. They say this is "normal practice" but this was news to me. Any one else been affected?

You won't find a thread, because this is the wrong section.

  • Lloyds now do the same. Even if you have an agreed overdraft if you go more than £10 overdrawn for 24+ hours then you are charged £5.
  • Apparently it's cheaper to get a payday loan than have an overdraft these days.

Great work to MSE Martin and the guys for claiming back overdraft charges. How do you like them apples?

Indeed. It's a good thing he didn't manage to drive everyone to icelandic banks, or they'd be charging even more!
