Tesco Christmas Deliveries (Online Shopping)

I was "told" yesterday by someone who works with a part-time Tesco delivery driver that Tesco's have overstretched themselves in some areas by releasing more slots than they have pickers for. This means (apparently) that they will only fulfill the order which was made to secure the order originally. (In my case a box of wine)

I said this was an absolute load of rubbish and that you can change your order up until the evening before delivery etc etc.

Do any of you have any views on this??

  • I agree, its a load of rubbish!! If this were true, the site wouldnt allow you to change your order, and I have several times!!
  • I agree it is a load of rubbish. Otherwise I am going to get a load of nappies that I don't want. Hmmm could be an interesting christmas lunch :o

Could you imagine the uproar if it turned out to be true.

  • Yes, us pickers are over stretched. In our store, in Christmas week, we will start picking at 4am. We are due to finish by 12 noon. We won't be - it will be at least 2pm. You full order will however be picked as long as the items are available in store. Merry Christmas xx

I bet you will be busy! Just like to say a huge thank you to all the pickers - without you our Christmas wouldnt be so easy. xx Think Tesco should reward you with a bonus!!! (I know, wishful thinking!!) Andy a merry christmas to you :T

A big Merry Christmas to you. We don't get many thanks, in fact during Christmas week we get a lot less than usual. We will always try our best and we hope with a smile. If it looks like a grimace then i apologise - we are all busy and by the 23rd, so very tired. I hope you all enjoy your Christmas, i certainly will xx
