Hi! I was wondering if anyone can help on this. My friend wishes to surrender her Car Hire Purchase agreement under the clause regarding the payment of half or more. Ie if you have paid 1/2 or more of the total agreement you can surrender the car and then owe nothing. What I wondered is does anyoe know a good way to word the letter to be sent to the finance company. What law clauses should be quoted?
Thanks for any help

Word it something along the lines of "In accordance with my rights under s.100 of the Consumer Credit Act, I write to confirm my wish to voluntarily terminate my agreement.
Do not say surrender! Also be careful if there are arrears, as they can still charge for those.
