HP Warranty

Don't know if this is the correct board - so feel free to move me to a better one!
I bought a HP printer last June and it was starting to play up. To HP's credit, a week after complaining, I now have a new replacement printer. Now, I suspect that the problem is a design fault and it could occur with the new printer also.
My questions is this, when I bought the printer last year I had a one year HP warranty (as standard). When they sent me the new printer, does this mean I have a new one years warranty, or is it still under the old warranty (ie it is only going to last till June)?

You dont get a new warranty it will be from the original date0

All hp products have a manufacturing date on them near the serial number you had to give hp for the return, you can usually get away with 3 months after the manufacture date as a date of purchase, if it goes wrong again just get it collected from your work address or somthing.
I find it difucult to belive you had an issue returning a faulty item everytime I have delt with hp over a faulty printer they have been really good at sorting the problem out arrangeing for a collection an delivering the replacement/repaired witin 5 working days.0 -

I found HP very fair too. My photo printer refused to print through the 6x4 slot but was perfect for A4. They sent me a replacement and told me to do what I liked with the first one. I was going to give it to a charity but the replacement came MINUS the control panel and the power lead which I was instructed to remove from the old one and transfer. I couldn't find anywhere to buy a new control panel and lead so I guess I shall have to put a perfectly good A4 printer in the recycling.0
