This is good news for the bears (if they can keep their jobs). The only realistic way to see more distressed sellers is if there is a large increase in unemployment.
The outlook for jobs has worsened with a survey of 2,100 employers finding that four out of five had no plans to hire workers in the next three months.
The survey by Manpower found that hiring expectations were at their lowest level for three years.
Finance and business services are cutting back on hiring plans, although utilities continue to seek new staff.
The survey comes ahead of the official unemployment statistics on Wednesday which are expected to show another rise

I am very Bearish on property, but in no way do I see this as good news.
When are most of you going to learn that taking a bearish or bullish stance should come from making a judgement on the state of the probable future market through analysis. Hoping an outcome is going to take place does not make you a bear or bull.0 -

The Chartered Institute for Personnel and Development went on record last summer stating that the wonderfully sunny optimistic OBR forecasts were nonsense. I seem to remember them being pooh-poohed by the right wing ("what would HR professionals know about hiring people"), yet here we are with the people who do the actual hiring apparently knowing more about jobs than political dogma.0
