Good advice. I often wonder how things can get do discounted if Groupon then take 50% cut. Either the item/service was over valued, or its run at next to a loss hoping that the company that pays Groupon to advertise is picking up new customers.

My mum bought the same voucher for me as a birthday gift in December....total con! At the time I looked online all of the bags I liked (all 3!) were out of stock. When I logged in after christmas, they had all disappeared! Conveniently none of the bags had reviews either (which my mum emailed them and asked why this was and surprise, surprise she has had no response!) the bags all look like the sort of thing you could get from a market for £10-£20...nothing wrong with that but all of this sites bags are mostly £70+!!! Even the leather bags looked cheap. My mum ending up using the voucher for herself as I just couldn't justify buying something just for the sake of using the voucher. I would definitely recommend to anyone buying from groupon to check out the actual website first. We have learnt our lesson!

I got a bootcamp deal for the OH then the guy running it decided to cancel the one near to us....terrible trouble getting the money back although not groupon's fault

the only other groupon I have bought was one for a cut and full head of highlights at a new salon the hairdo in itself was good but had to actually find and go into the place as could not get through to them by phone and had to make-do with one of the very few dates they had left

Is something going on with Groupon? Ive not had any emails off them for a few days??
Married the absolute love of my life on Sunday May 6th and I couldnt be happier!!!
  • I'm currently in dispute with Lilly's Little Luxuries with a situation very similar to original poster. The bag was finished so badly and looked like a piece of tat. On top of this the strap broke and the bag fell off my girlfriends shoulder landed on the floor, luckily enough her £500 iPhone was not damaged.

Lilly's Little Luxuries are now acting with extreme contempt and stating that I am out of their 7 days returns policy. Even though It was ordered on the 13th of December 2011 and received in the 1st week of Jan 2012 so my '7 days' had expired before I'd even received it LOL. They cannot seem to get into their heads that it's not that I was only unhappy with the product but that it broke on its second use!!!

I have done so, and I strongly urge everybody here to contact and complain to PayPal about this 'company' and the same with Groupon.

If anybody needs to contact LLL directly the email is: [FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]

I have contacted her on behalf of my mum, after she gave the same tripe about returning. She said it stated faulty items had to be reported within 14 days. After checking the 'terms and conditions' what she was stating only applied to designer bags not the one my mum had bought. I've contacted groupon and have given her 7 days to respond which she hasn't so we are going to contact trading standards.

This person seems to fail to comprehend the sale of goods act and goods being fit for their purpose! Clearly they shouldn't be trading if they don't understand the basics of law, consumer rights or basic customer service!

I'll post any progress here but don't hold your breath. Good luck to you! :rotfl:

I bought the christmas spa day and cream tea in Bristol.

'Relax in the spa' so it said. I don't think so, everyone and his wife was on a groupon spa break, plus hotel guests, plus gym members. You couldn't get in the Jacuzzi, the pool was packed and you could only lane swim which I am not good at, and is far from relaxing. It was noisy and in no way relaxing.

The cream tea was ok, it was advertised at £84 for two but sold for £29, If I paid £84 for that, I would be most displeased.

I won't be using it again,

Yes, do keep me updated on how that goes.

They clearly know that it's illegal as the handbag I purchased has since been removed from the site too! LOOOOOOOOL.
  • I too recently bought a bag from this website, with a groupon voucher. Unfortunately, what I got was a cheap looking pvc bag. Surprising, I have gone back to post a review and the item has disappeared, so I cannot post a review. Probably a good job.

How they can justify an original selling price of £82 is beyond me. Lesson learned. Never use again.
