This is amazing. I've just downloaded 5 health-related ebooks for free0

Ok, so I know I'm going to sound a bit thick, but how do I download an ebook and does it go onto the computer or can I transfer it to my Kindle? And if I can, how do I do it? I'm not exactly knowledgable about technology.......:o0

And don't forget Project Gutenberg, too. 36,000+ free ebooks there!
http://www.gutenberg.org/
Many are old and so copyright-free.
Top downloads include A Christmas Carol, Pride and Prejudice, Grimm's Fairy Tales, etc http://www.gutenberg.org/browse/scores/top .0 -

As no-one else has come forward for you, here's a stab at an answer until a more knowledgeable person comes along. I don't know about Kindle, but if you go to the bigbookgiveaway website and just click on the title of the book you want, up will come a page which has a "download this ebook for free" icon. Click on that and I'm pretty sure it will start downloading onto your computer. When it's done, you can look in your "downloads" folder to find it.0 -
Thank you both - I'll give it a try.
Merry Christmas!0 -

Someone posted on here last week about Amazon having a free download to the Kindle of a book about Internet Dating: Date them: Dupe them: Dump them. I don't have a Kindle but apparently you can now download that onto your computer for free as well. I'm hopeless with the computer but eventually sussed out and my book was there. Opened it up but after chapter 3 it went blank, so i've only learnt the dating bit, still not sure how you do the duping or dumping.
Thanks Op will check those books out.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.
