what requirements does a British national need to work in Australia?
All the big powers they've silenced me. So much for free speech and choice on this fundamental human right, and outing the liars.

Depends on your age, career, and whether or not you have a job offer. Under 30, you can apply for a Working Holiday visa. Under 45 you need a job offer in a specific career (around 400 jobs), or can emigrate on the basis of a VERY specific career where they have significant skills shortages (around 180 jobs).
It's too specific to go into - google ENSOL list for the job offer list of careers, and google SOL for the independent emigration list.
On top of that, no medical issues for you or independents (unless sponsored), no criminal record, good character, under 45 years, good English (unless exceptional circumstances). You really need to look it up properly.
KiKi' <-- See that? It's called an apostrophe. It does not mean "hey, look out, here comes an S".0 -

also, if you think you have a chance, then join British Expats website, they can help and support (but as long as you are in with a fighting chance of meeting the points test!0 -
ive just seen a job on Serco website for a chef in a young offenders institute. I have experiance in a similar field and thought it was a good job to apply for even though im 43 doubt i would have much chance, however dont mind the interview experiance so thought i might apply.
btw I dont want to live over there but if its like a contract for and say 6 months there then back home for a month or 2 sounds interesting. All the big powers they've silenced me. So much for free speech and choice on this fundamental human right, and outing the liars.0 -
my limited knowledge would say forget it.
why would they give you a job, for six months, when they can hire someone local.
Chef, as it goes, I would guess is on the list, and 43, you have two years to make a formal visa application.
however, being in the hotel industry myself, for a temporary role i would guess you would need a sponsor, there is the sticking ground, unless you are Gordon Ramsay of course.0 -

No offence, but why on earth would they consider you for a relatively low-skilled role when there are likely to be thousands of locals capable of doing the job.
As to your OP, I would have thought one of the key things they might be looking for is enough nouse to search for their immigration requirements on the internet!0
