Hello there to :j Mavvymoo. You are very welcome to join us. I have added you to the list on the second post, so have a quick read of the first post then see how many £2s you can find! Pop back when you can for a chat, someone is generally here ;)

Lashley82 did you get them? And congrats on 8 all at once

Hi Richy23 All self serve checkout seem a fab place to get £2s from. So if you can use them, I recommend it! I’ve never heard of Avenue Q but just googled it and looks interesting. How was it?

Lol, I try my best Loudmouth! Now a round the world cruise WOULD need saving up for!

Yeah Snozberry – 1/5th and its only 1/12th of way through the year!

Exactly black cat – like buses they are! And a £2 wouldn’t have survived in my purse long either so your OH should have known that!:T

    Yippee scotmumof3

Glad you enjoying the challeng DBG. I had one NSD this week and that was a struggle! Aiming for 3 next week, will see how that goes. I know you can stick at it. Especially with help from kitty :D

Oh no Igamogam, why are stamps so expensive nowadays?

Well done golly1, spend a little, gain a lot.

Well hismissus at least you are not spending money like you were. So you are still saving, just not in the way expected.

Yippee for supermarkets (for once) retiredandskint :rotfl:

But the search is always worth it luv2win.

Thank heavens nantogirls. A yippee for you too at last.

    That total is rising mummytogirls

1/5th for you too now Richy? I feel a Richy/Snozberry challenge coming on :money:

Have you got a pot yet keys? What did you decide on?

    Yea ha palema.

    Keep searching Hay77

Don’t worry about the tally kellbobs, suprises are often better :D

Family generally appear helpful when it comes to this challenge joyce63. Everytime you see her just make sure you have enough money to swap!

Pollywollydoodle has just confirmed that, Yippee for £2 collecting DH.

Well done fredtheguava. If you can keep that up over the year you will have a lot of money you didn’t realise you could save.

    Congrats too, thriftymummy.

Hope the weather is not too bad. They keep threatening snow where I am, but none as yet. Will see what this Siberian weather brings us!

    Hi All,

Can I join in with this please? Last year I saved my £2 coins and managed £94

I've been saving this year and have £14 so far but those coins have been a bit thin on the ground for me.

Ideally I'd just like to see how many I can get in a year but I plan to throw them at my debt everytime I get to £20 but keep a running total throughout the year (does that make sense?)

Hi Naomim - yes that makes sense to me! I will add you to the front page now. Enjoy collecting with us.

Inevitably as you are only looking for one coin you won't find loads and loads, but a hundred pounds or two seens manageable in a year and well worthwhile to help with the debt!

Afternoon all, another £2 coin today whilst out shopping this afternoon, taking my total to £10 :j xx
    Mummytogirls x

  • At last another £2 from son who owed me £20, was more pleased with the £2 then the £20, ha ha now £16 in total
  • Naomim, I am thinking about doing the same. Would love to have a nice stash by the end of the year, but I think the money is better used paying down my debts in chunks in the meantime.

Observer, I have to say, I love the little responses you write to everyone, it's really nice to see how attentive you are to the thread, and how supportive you are to us all. Thank you! Posting in MSE forums is new to me, but I'm feeling very welcome. : )
