    Hi guys,

    I'm new to this thread, this £2 challenge is fantastic.
    I hadn't realised how hard they are to get hold of though!

    I have had 2 in my change from shopping this week and I took 1 from my husband when he emptied his pockets last night. He didn't mind and said he will put them into our money box from now on.

    I have decided as of today to stop counting how much ive collected as its getting too tempting and it will be a nice surprise when i open my tin.

    None for me yet.Had 2 pound coins in my purse since Sunday they are still there :T So 4 NSD on the trot ! So cant expect to get any really.
    Doggy swimming tomorrow so hoping she might have some for me.
    Just not £26 worth I hope :D

    I got OH some lottery tickets yesterday and guess what he paid me with when he got in from work ..... 2 x £2 coins :)

    I think maybe I should stop counting them now too .. for a nice surprise at the end

    I was wondering how many £2 coins are minted compared with other coins and then it dawned on me - there aren't many about because people like us collect them and take them out of circulation!! There'll be a lot more around in November when we spend them or take them to the bank!! :)

    Soneone earlier back on the thread did look to see how many were minted but I think you're right, we're all taking them out of circulation and competing with each other for them! :rotfl:
