Problem with DFH

I was contacted by DFH on Monday and agreed to go into a debt management plan with them which was for £200 per month and I was told that £35 of that was their fees each month and the first month also included a £70 admin fee included in the £200.
The assistant requested my debit card details so they could start setting things up but I would need to send back signed paperwork before they could do anything and that should arrive in a few days. The paperwork arrived on Wednesday and after I read through it I decided to go with a free alternative with the company Payplan instead.
I contacted DFH On Thursday and told them I no longer wanted to go ahead with the plan and the once nice polite assistant changed his tone of voice and bombarded me with questions as to why I didn't want the plan and said theyd already started sending letters out to all the companys to whom I owe money. I stood my ground and said I didn't want to do it and that was final.
On Friday they charged my debit card £270! So I contacted them and asked for a refund and again I was hassled on the phone and was told
that their debt team would need to review it because i might be being threatened by the companies which I owe money to which is completely not the case. Apparently the person who could deal with it was conveniently no longer in the office.
I Have today contacted them and been told that it will take 12-14 days to issue a refund which I can't nderstand because I've never returned any paperwork to them and on Thursday told them I didn't want the plan.
I really don't know where to go from here and I don't trust I will even get a refund. Would it be possible to get the debit card transaction revered? Its currently showing as uncleared on my online bank because it was only Friday.
Has anyone else dealt with DFH? Or have any suggestions to what I should do?
Thanks in advance
Dan.

Oh these people make me mad.
1) Contact your bank and try to register an un-authorised debit with them. Tell them what happened. Some banks are decent about it, but some say it's your fault for giving your debit card details in the first place, but no harm trying.
2) Get them to change your card...report it stolen. This may or may not stop any further debits.
3) Write a stiff letter to this company pointing out that until you had actually signed something, they had no right to debit the money. Demand a refund immediately and threaten another stiff letter to the OFT if they fail to comply.Debt Free! Long road, but we did it
