I've been trying to use them but they don't work when entered I get an error message. I have emailed Tassimo , what a waste of time that was.
Yesterday I ordered from the Tassimo site using the 20% Easter egg code and it discounted the correct amount from the total bill.0 -

Hello happy Tassimo users.
I've had a Bosch Tassimo machine for a few years now that we got via Costa Loyalty Club at a hugely discounted price (worth joining Costa if you want one) & have another brand new 'spare' waiting in it's box to go in our new kitchen in a few months time.
Apart from Costa discs we love Carte Noire Petite Dejeuner & Espresso Decaf (dark blue label) which is not the usual weak alternative to full caf coffee but really tasty. To be honest it's difficult to tell the difference from full caf. For some reason Tassimo don't sell that option in the larger Petit Dejeuner size, only in Espresso - very strange! As my husband takes Steroids we drink mainly decaf coffee now so I contacted Tassimo who stated this option is a 'special' just for Tesco which is where I'd found them - however I've also found them in Asda since, so that wasn't correct.
Generally speaking Tassimo are cheapest for discs if you buy enough in one go to get free delivery, or if you have a reduction offer sent by email. It's worth registering with Tassimo for that reason alone as they crop up quite regularly. I just wait for the email, or track down an instore offer.
The best way to find instore offers is to check on a supermarket price comparison site. Sometimes there are 3 packs for £10 offers (which can be mixed provided they're on the promo) or BOGOHP on selected packs or a another variation. These are good news if you only want a few packs instead of buying in bulk & then having to find somewhere to store it. If you have a supermarket promo voucher (i.e. £3 off £30) & can time the use with an instore offer then that's definitely the cheapest way to go. Good luck!
You are all correct that the prices have been climbing recently as the discs were about £3.29 a pack for ages, however it's still cheaper than buying a coffee out plus it's still hot when you get it!
Milk t-discs for chocolate, latte or mocha are cheaper if you buy them separately as the milk disc packs are slightly cheaper than coffee packs. Then purchase the coffee discs on their own (preferably when on offer) & get more for your money!
I've been 'lucky' enough to try all the Nespresso pods while on holiday (or through my sister in law) & I really don't know what the appeal is ...... not only more expensive than Tassimo but also weak horrible coffee! Be very happy that you have made the right choice with a Tassimo. Above all ENJOY!0 -

I have taken steroids but never been advised to drink only decaf! Is this a personal choice or medical advice ? Tesco had an offer on recently of £ 3.99 per pack of 16 (Americano only). Stocked up with 6 packs. That's 25p per cup, much more expensive than last year but a lot cheaper than a coffee house. Not quite as good as the fresh brewed though !!

Don't forget the Nespresso machines are only designed to make Espresso. If you want a full Americano from a Nespresso you need to add boiling water seperately and maybe even use a second capsule to get a second espresso shot to ensure it is strong enough. Just running more water through will make a large week coffee that may be burnt tasting.0 -

Tassimo do sell a disk which runs hot water. 4 options; 150mls, 250mls, 350mls or 450mls. I'm not 100% on this but I think I remember someone saying the green disk worked on 150mls +100 increments and the blue disk had 100 + 100mls.
I normally either use a pod and add water (I like my coffee weak and add my own milk) or I make up an instant Millicano/Azera instant coffee (tastes just as good IMHO but I'm no coffee buff) and use a plain hot water disk to top up the cup rather than boiling an entire kettle so I'm only heating the exact amount of water I need.
I'd buy more pods but Tassimo are not cheap and there's just no way I can afford to have a pod-coffee every day and I find many are too strong for me or need additional water added as I'd rather have more than a thimble sized cup of coffee and using the hot water disk seems like the most affordable way to go.0 -
Buy your T-Disc through the Amazon Subscribe & Save system and get 15% off. Takes a bit of effort to find 5 items to buy regularly so as to get the 15%. Work out how many days it takes to drink 80 cups on average, and then order on a cycle which suits (1, 2 3 months etc).
My wife can only drink decaf but I drink Kenco Americano Grande or Columbian so there are 3 items to make up our 5. We add to that a regular order of decaf tea (not tassimo) and any 1 more of a number of products such as chia / poppy / flax / etc seeds.0
