Just when you think it can't get much worse, it does. Good news that Dave Hartnett is going, he is utterly discredited. If he turns up on the board of Vodafone, Goldman Sachs or similar as a non-exec director I for one will not be surprised.
Lin Homer is poorly regarded in Birmingham, appears to be one of those for whom mud never sticks and manages to escape the consequences of her poor decisions so in that sense maybe she is the ideal leader for HMRC.....

Yawn.....
What has this got to do with helping people with their tax issues? If you want to discuss this go to the discussion board.Did you really mean to put loose?
Lose: no longer possess, not to retain, unable to find
Loose: not firmly or tightly fixed in place0 -
I think it would be much more useful if every poster on here wrote to their MP saying: "we need not the world's second most complex tax system, but one that the ordinary citizen can understand".
When I started work (1960's) 3/4 of these taxes did not even exist, let alone have to be paid by people on a pensioner's income.
There used to be a "what is the difference between heaven & hell" joke; it used to have the British running the administration - but long ago that job has been given to the Swiss.0
