    Jeez, Mr Rhee . .your response is pretty weak even by your standards.

    I pretty much know my net worth to the nearest £1000 at any one time (subject to market vagaries, illiquidity of the property market, exchange rate variances etc). I'm sure someone with as much financial acumen as you would be able to work it out.

    You are all arguing as if you understood what this means. Does it mean:

    a) Net national wealth equates to an average of £321,000 oer household

    or

    b) Average net wealth of a UK household is £321,000 ?

    The two are likely to be completely different. (b) means an average typical household's actual accessible personal wealth.
    (a) means the total national wealth, most of which is not accessible by individuals, but on a per household basis equates to £321,000.
