Silver Wedding Anniversary Ideas! Help :)

Planning far in advance... but need time to plan to make it perfect and also save!

So... In July, it's my mum and dad's 25th wedding anniversary!

I want to make it SUPER special for them, as i'm their only child and they have done alot (and continue to do so) for me and my partner and our little girl.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated :)

TIA

  • Perhaps something made from silver and engraved, like a photo frame (with a photo of you, partner and child, or all five of you)?

Can you tell us more about them, like their hobbies and interests? Also an idea of your budget would be useful.

Well done for being organised enough to think about it now!

  • It was my parents 25th anv about 7 years ago and my brother and I bought them a sterling silver photo frame and had it engraved with a message and the date. I remember the frame being on sale at our local village jewellery shop as it was expensive at normal price but it wasn't much to engrave it, I took it to the local key cutting place and it looked lovely. It came in a velvet pouch and in a box. They still have it now in the living room and it still looks as good as new :)

  • My parents got loads of silver photo frames for their 25th wedding anniversary. I like the idea of having an engraved one though.

They also had a party for the anniversary and as part of that my sisters and I blew up various pictures of them from throughout their relationship and dotted them round the room - would maybe a collage of those types of images (copies if necessary) work? So things like their wedding day, any special holidays, them with you and your OH/daughter on a special occasion perhaps. Or a photobook/album of their lives together?

  • Hi thank you for your ideas!

My mum and dad don't really have any hobbies... and my mum, well... she's a minimalst and doesn't like clutter! Although a silver engraved frame would be absolutely lovely, I don't think my mum would have anywhere to put it where it would blend in with everything else.

I like the idea of the collage and the picture book, this is something I could look into doing.

I was thinking of maybe sending them for a special meal or a show or something like that? But wanted to make it SUPER SUPER special!

Keep an eye out for a hotel deal? They might appreciate a nice break?
