hi all, i'm not sure really where to post this,my washing machine broke down so i went on the argos web site an found a washing machine i wanted said it was free delivery though great get that one ,an pay the them to take my old one away,typed in my post code and then it jumped up to £8.95 delivery yeah we live in the highlands but it says nothing about that on the page of the machine just free delivery on this item, can they add another 8.95 even though it says free delivery

From what I can see on the Argos website, the £8.95 is the charge to take away your old one.

though I'm not in the Highlands.

Their delivery info says this -

We deliver anywhere in the mainland UK and Northern Ireland

and

We can deliver anywhere in the UK and Northern Ireland (unless otherwise stated) as well as Channel Islands via our partner Ship2me. We are unable to deliver to the Isle of Man, Isles of Scilly, Orkney, Shetland and Western Scottish Islands, BFPO addresses, or the Republic of Ireland. For these areas, please make enquiries at your local store
