A dab radio automatically scans and stores the stations for you.
No need to fiddle with tuning it manually.
Thats what DAB is.0 -

masterwai is obviously telepathetic , as is their DAB, such that it always knows which station they want to listen to and changes accordingly without having to touch it.
Probably also works without being plugged into the mains or having batteries in it.
Also these telepathetic models mean that you hear the music broadcast right inside your brain, bypassing your ears and auditory canal, such that you do not need speakers or headphones.
Of course if you don't own one of these versions but still hear music all the time then you are probably mad. There are 10 types of people in the world. ‹(•¿•)›(11)A104.28S94.98O112.46N86.73D101.02(12)J130.63F126.76M134.38A200.98M156.30J95.56J102.85A175.93

Right before you go on your rant lets get one thing straight. If you read the thread carefully. I said "Why does it have a tuning knob if it is digital". And as someone pointed out its for the old FM broadcasts.
I never mentioned about selecting different channels to listen to.
Its you guys that have got the wrong end of the stick.
read the thread and get your facts right before your go on ranting about.0 -

Actually it seems that you are the one that's ranting !
In response to your question was ANOTHER question ....
"'Cos its also FM?"
which was not the answer and is immaterial anyway, as it the fact that it's "digital".
The knob is a tuning knob - you turn it to change stations.
On DAB it moves from station to station changing frequencies and muxes(some of which will not always produce an output even though the scan found it)
On FM it moves through the FM range of frequencies used for broadcasting - some of which have a corresponding radio station
EXACTLY the same! There are 10 types of people in the world. ‹(•¿•)›(11)A104.28S94.98O112.46N86.73D101.02(12)J130.63F126.76M134.38A200.98M156.30J95.56J102.85A175.93

I would have gone for one of these if i hadn't got a Pure One for £4.99 at Boots the other day.
The advantage with this one is it has an alarm - Direct Link to the Amazon product review HERE.0 -

Rob
I would suggest a ring round the stores - direct tel numbers can be obtained from https://www.yell.co.uk
I did this when i got a £40 dvd recorder from Superdrug, and if in stock, they will reserve it for same day collection.0 -
Jefft wrote:I have a Pure One and you change stations by turning a knob.
You press the scan button and it scans the available channels.
You then use the knob to select the channel you wish to listen to. This is instead of pressing an UP/DOWN selector to work your way through the availables.
You store the favourites to the preset buttons.
It's a nice radio, I bought one through the previous thread.0 -
I can recommend this radio. I bought mine last year from Superdrug. I used their summer discount and paid £21.00.:hello: N:hello:A :hello:N :hello:A :hello:M :hello:A :hello:G :hello:S :hello:0

Discontinued stock, it was 90% off. I posted it here http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=346056&page=7&highlight=boots Customer Services have confirmed that the price is nationwide, but todate no-one has posted to say that they managed to get one.
See the link above for the printer/camera deal i got from there also.0
