Wanted Advice on Webcam

Hi,

My nephew is coming to live with for 10 months from Brazil and will need to stay in touch with his family via a webcam so I am after one of decent quality and hopefully with a built in mic, after the best resolution poss but only looking to spend £30 is this do-able?

Comments

  • I got the daughter a Logitech Quickcam Messenger a few months ago. Reasonably good resolution, good at handling different lighting conditions and a very good built in mic. It was about £15, can't remember where from. If it pops back into me head I'll pop back and let you know.

PC World are doing a advent laptop cam 300n I think was £50 reduced in store to £24.99. We have just bought a labtec one from maplin again 300k resolution (which is vga and about as much as msn / skype can handle) that was £29.99 Have a look on maplins website as the have offers on all the time. If your looking for a cam for desktop use they tend to be a bit cheaper.

    hope it helps
