In this world where we watch the news and get depressed when all of it is bad, it's great to read some genuinely good news for a change.
Well done jopsey and best of luck to you.A friend is someone who overlooks your broken fence and admires the flowers in your garden.0 -
your all gonna make me cry stop it..
sorry to rabbit on but I must share this with you all also hope you dont mind,
I am a great beliver in destiny and as the great saying is, as one door closes another opens but this is uncanny
After 14 years of being a landlord and self employed as a florist and very money motivated I decided after long delibaration that enough was enough ,
in the last month have put my property up for sale and discussed with my staff that I may be putting my florist up for sale and gave them the first refusal before I put it on the open market.
I Love being a Mum and I just want to take a break from all the stress of what being self employed brings .
So this couldn't have come at a better time even if it is only to boost my confidence a bit and give me a bit of direction because before today I would never thought of it ,as anybody else who gives a job up its very hard to imagine worth in another field.
sorry for the ramble just needed to get it off my chest
Thanks again xx0 -
Well good for you for finding the courage to take such a step. :T
I totally agree with the saying ref the doors. and it looks like its happening allready to you.
There are so many options open to us out there, its just knowing what we want and how to find it!
Sounds like your confidence doesn't need a boost, as you must have got the confidence allready to take such a plunge. But a little more wont hurt!
Still - I take my hat off to you. Well done again!Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure0 -

Oh wow what a brilliant job ! Id love that! Keep us updated.
I know that surestart is a fab org ( worked with them as a SW myself) and I know that SO many parents struggle on a low income to create good food, cos they feel too ( like im suire we all have over time) they cant cook, or (tip for interveiw!) that they are on such a low income they dont have the equipment. MAybe in the "how can we develop the service" questions you might get asked, you could have a kitchen equipment donation "box" with spare knives, chopping boards, loaf & bun tins, etc. Companies ( esp local ones) are remarkably willing to donate things for charity like this. One of the parents I worked with had a set of plates & bowls, a tin opener & an roasting tin only and a couple of saucepans. She was on income support and buying kitchen equipment was just out of the question for her, as she could barely scrape by as it was.
theres a little book around http://www.amazon.co.uk/Cookbook-Probably-Only-Saucepan-Ziggy/dp/1902813146/sr=8-5/qid=1170489801/ref=sr_1_5/202-4489290-0664662?ie=UTF8&s=books cooking for a man who probably only hs one saucepan. We bought another in the series for a mates b day & it was v easy to follow, if you could get hold of a copy of this, it might give you inspiration later on?
Anyway, HTH
Lots of luck & let us know how you go on!
Lynz:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
