Advice on serving no notice period

    For goodness sake, work the notice and stop whining. You can earn heaps of overtime in the months and years to come, it's only four weeks!

    From your post, it is clear that you already know what you "should" do, you are just trying to convince yourself (and want others to confirm) that you do what you "want" to do.

    The choice is yours - some people say "what goes around comes around" but I don't think it is ever a good idea to leave an employer on bad terms if possible.

    Ps - just say that you didn't have the new week-day job and your weekend employer told you that they did not need you any more and that they would not be paying you any notice period : how would you feel about this ?
