Hi All
I have a debt on my EDF accounts so I applied for a grant from the EDF energy trust. I also complained because of a negative situation, they wrote and confirmed I was right! WOW and then they said be assured I do not have to worry as I had a £700 grant (applied for) on the way.
I called them to confirm as this seemed all so easy and quick, I call the grants department and they know nothing!. I called the letter department and they say sorry this was a mistake you can have £90.00
Any ideas what I can do or is this just life?

How much did you apply for (if you apply for a specific amount)?
Did you receive a letter that said you would be be given £700? or was it verbal?
Have you now had a letter thats confirmed £90? or was that verbal?
I imagine at the very least it would be worth writing to appeal and stating what you had previously been told to see if they will reconsider or up it a bit.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
Applied for £700, the letter stated "the grant that you applied for ref", not the amount and then the £90 was verbal.0
