Swiss Roll Flannel Cake Boxes / Containers

Hi,
I've just tried making some Swiss roll flannel cakes, for Xmas present, but when looking on Ebay etc people have them in the clear plastic containers. I looked through ebay & can't find any for sale & wondered if anyone on here uses them & could recommend where to get them from.
Thanks in advance.

  • Not a brilliant idea but the containers that ginger biscuits come in are suitable. Tesco/asda/morrisons all seem to use the same type. Means eating a lot of biscuits though ;)

I did see a different way of packaging them at a craft fair.

Place a doily under the flannels so it looks like a cake on a doily. Fold around the flannel so the doily sides show a bit then cellophane around it & seal underneath so it looks like a swiss roll from a bakery..... :D

Not probably what you want perhaps do-able ?

    Or sushi containers?
Lurking in a galaxy far far away...
  • Thanks Dark Star,

A quick look on Ebay tells me items probably sushi containers i'm looking for. It's the cellophane bit i have trouble with (at the ends) so although the doily idea sounds fab its maybe a step too far for me !:rotfl:
