Well actually light my reply was to wish you luck with your prediction.
Equally, I highlighted the nature and scope of the well known often discussed e.surv statistics :rotfl:(i.e. laughable).
The "deflection" part was a reference to how you chose to focus on "lag" as if this overruled the fact that Columbo had neglected to post his prefered CML measure of mortgage approvals this month, in favour of...erm...e.surv.
Of course you chose not to respond to any of these.

I'm not surprised that Mortgage Approvals are well up - the houses around my way are getting snapped up within hours ....... and, of course, some people need mortgages to buy - so it all fits with the reality on the street.
I'm still puzzled what is causing this boom - is it lack of properties for sale?Bringing Happiness where there is Gloom!0
