Anyone had any dealings with them? Are they reasonable?

There are loads of posts relating to rossendales on this section of the forum.

Can't say that I've seem many positive posts about them, but then I haven't seem many positive posts about any bailiff company.

Are you dealing with their bailiff arm or debt collection agency arm? If its bailiff related then have you read up fully on your rights, their rights, what they are entitled to charge you with etc? Its much easier to deal with places like this if you know what is and isn't legal on their side.

Well I went to court today relating to an allegation of fraud. Not to try and pleed my case here, but my solicitor said they have no grounds to be suing me and that I should pleed not guilty today... which I did do.

The whole thing is on Housing Benefit Overpayment over 3 years (apparently I never told them I changed jobs.. which I did) and they are suing me because I never told them within 14 months I changed jobs, even tho I have a letter aknowledging they agree I had changed jobs in 2008 (thats whats stuffing the case up for them)

As for now I think... hopefully.. as I dont actually owe the £10k they are suing me for, its going to be put on hold till the end of my trial which has now been ajourned till March.

Its a shame isnt it, I try and do things right for me and my family and I get screwed over by the local council for something I didnt do... amazing.

Just to add i have Equita on the case to retrieve all of the apparent overpayment of council tax - again it hasnt been overpaid, but the pain in the bum that they are... I have actually managed to pay off £2k of it, which I really hope I will get back - just to get them off my case as they had walking posession of a lot of my property
