Not sure if this has already been posted but ive just found the Serif photoplus essentials software at £2.95 on Jessops. Its only available for instore collection. I believe this is a bargain as most shops, including amazon are retailing this around £27.

Thanks for this, I was quite tempted but then looked at Amazon and it is £27.19 but the reviews aren't good.



Mainly because they try to hard sell you other Serif products! :mad: Some people also say that Photoplus is not intuitive to use and comes with a large manual. £3 is a very good price though, you just need to weigh up the cons.

You can download the older versions for free from their website and personally there are better free offerings out there. The school has it and to be honest I wouldn't say it's !!!! but it's not far off but for free or nearly free it's not a bad price.

If you're also after DTP'ing stuff as well then if you have school kids get a copy of Office 2010 pro plus for £38 from Software4students and that comes with publisher which is actually not too bad now (Ok it's no indesign but I found it far easier to use than Serif) and of course you get the rest of Office at the same time if you're after that kind of thing.

Just checking the reviews for the product on Amazon and it doesn't seem that great a product unfortunately. Thanks for the heads up, but I'll give this one a miss.
