only worked for part of the year how do i claim tax back

hi my partner and i only worked from april to september in tax year 2007-08 can someone please help me and let me know how i can claim back the tax i have paid in that tax year. it would be very much appreciated if someone could help. i earned around £7000 before i stopped working .

What happened after you stopped working.....did you claim benefits? If so, did you give them your P45?

hi.

i moved to spain and havent worked at all since and have had no income just lived off sale of uk sale house. ive just moved back and my son mentioned that as i oly worked for 6 months in 2007-08 tax year i could be due a tax refund both me and my partner earned around £6000 each in the 6 months

i would be very grateful if someone could help
