Sell or keep L&G endowment

We have a L&G endowment that we took out in 1998 for 32100.
It has 17 years left and the fund at the moment is about £4900 paying £56 a month.
Advisor says to keep it and go part repayment part int only but I'm not sure.
Wouldn't it be best to go full repayment and sell the endowment?

maybe. maybe not.
If its an L&G adviser you are seeing, they have no choice but to tell you to keep it. If its a mortgage adviser you are seeing, then it is outside of their scope of advice to tell you to keep or get rid of it. If its an investments adviser, they should have written to L&G to obtain details, charges, projections and alternative fund options and would recommend based on that information and then tell you what they think.
We would need more to go on to tell you what we think. L&G are one of these providers that can be either way.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
