Help please....dont know what to do for the best

It would seem some spammer is using my email address to send spammy "buy this cellphone" emails to all the email addresses i comp to.....for example iva had lots of returned/failed delivery emails come through from motd competitions email address and many more, and when you read the message that has been returned its total spam.

Im now worried my email address is going to be blocked from the email addresses making me unable to enter comps with them.

Hope this makes sense, and if anyone has any advice that would be fab. As i really dont what to have to create a new email address but at the moment i feel like its my only option.

Hi - I would immediatly change your password (using a strong one - a mix of uppercase, lowercase and numbers). This will stop them accessing your email account. Hope this helps.

Hi, this happened to me too with my comping address. I only found out when someone sent me an email asking me to remove them from my contact list.

I immediately changed my password and the problem was solved.

I must say, i don't really use that comping address anymore.

This happened to me to and I have changed the password several times and still it sends spam from me

Happened to me, changed my password and it was fine after.

I know when comping it makes sense to keep passwords the same for each comping site you need to log-in to, but make sure your comping email password is different.

I suggest you also check your settings for On Holiday/On Vacation/Out of Office. When I was hacked once, I found that the "On Vacation" marker had been set and an automatic reply with electrical goods advertising, was sent to all incoming mail.

I don't keep any "Contacts" in my comping email account so no-one can use them if I am hacked.

Same thing happened to me 2 weeks ago. I had to clear all my contacts and then change my email password. Even that didn't work but apparently if you change your date of birth and security question it stops immediately - as mine did. Every single competition I had entered for I was receiving undeliverable mail. It was a total nightmare. Hope this helps.
