Hi all, I'm currently looking o a martgage on my first home, I'm lookin at two bed house go for around 140,000 in my area. I'm 23 and I currently earn around 29k, have no children and no credit or finance of any kind. Problem I'm having is that I can only seem to get a mortgage for 3.5 times salary, which will leave me short, could I get a 4 times salary mortgage at 80% ltv?
I have been saving up for about 2 years for a deposit while living at home, I currently have 27,000 and am looking to get 30,000 before I move, that gives me 28,000 a a deposit and 2,000 to cover costs.
Thanks

well, Halifax is saying on their calculator that you could borrow up to £139,200. This is the link I used.
