From the article:
"So when will the MPC make the first move?"
This ignores the elephant in the room and it is more likely that the market will make the first move as happened in Iceland, Ireland, Greece, Portugal, Spain and Italy. In the space of 12 months, the UK growth forecast has been slashed and government's efforts to cut spending have fallen woefully short of expectations.
If the markets decide they will only lend to UK PLC at 10% interest rates, the MPC will be powerless to resist.0 -
Meanwhile, mortgage interest rates are on the up as soon as the New Year. The next leg down is here.1. The house price crash will begin.
2. There will be a dead cat bounce.
3. The second leg down will commence.
4. I will buy your house for a song.0 -
Oh dear gus. Your message doesn't "fit" and you'll now have a lot of frothing.
The monkey type fella knows the key word....... "If". That's not to say he's wrong but clearly it's not quite as certain as they proclaim.
The other one.... well.... you only need look at his join date and all becomes clear.0 -
Markets do not predict, nor do swap rates.
They trade, and the prices indicate something, but in no way is it a prediction of any kind.'In nature, there are neither rewards nor punishments - there are Consequences.'0 -

What a load of !!!!!!.
Anything which moves from the present to future has some format of prediction is it. It may not be a prediction itself, but has it has be based on one.0 -
No Interest Rate hike =

If you need interest rates to stay that low for that long sibbers, then you are well and truly in the sh*t aren't you.
No wonder you are so keen on ramping up the property market.0 -
