I have a bag full of these cuddlies in the attic and frankly they can be sold on but I have no idea if they are worth anything or even if they would sell.

Any ideas of value? place of sale?

Most are absolutely worthless- I was reduced to selling mine at 2 or 3 for a pound at car boots this summer. However always check out ebay for completed prices as there is still the odd one that is worth money. I found one of the hotel ones on there that I had often sold for around £6 and did eventually get almost £5 for mine.

It depends on a number of factors.

Firstly, the heart shaped tag needs to be in immaculate condiditon, ideally protected in special casings.

Secondly, the other tag needs to be in good condition too.

Then it really comes down too whether or not you have any rare ones or not.

If they aren't rare they are worth a lot of money at all, as they were mass produced.

Buts its worth having a look at auction sites like Ebay too see what others have sold for.

There are some other animals that have some value- so don't give up until you have searched on ebay and looked at completed items.

I also have a boxful of the TY bears and other animals, all with tag protectors on. Originally I started collecting the bears and then got fed up and sold them on Bootsales and ebay and back then i did make quite a profit on them so started collecting them again but it seems very up and down since then, i keep an eye on ebay but have decided to hang onto ours.

i am a collecter i would maybe take them off your hands for you.

As you're out of work and thinking of setting up a coffee shop, you can't afford to go wasting money on collectables, you need to concentrate your finances on your new business venture.
