Cheap Wedding Photographers in Manchester area?

Hi there!
My fiance and I are getting married next April (wheee so excited!) and so far we have been doing everything on a budget, which has been going really well so far but I've now hit a brick wall it seems
I just can't seem to find a cheap photographer at all! I realise they're expensive anyway, but I refuse to pay more for the photographer than I even did for my wedding dress
and tbh we just simply can't afford to have one unless I can find one as cheap as possible, but it would be really nice to have some wedding photos of me that I don't want to just hide in a drawer somewhere lol
So I was wondering if anyone knew of anyone in the manchester area who has fairly decent prices? any help would be lovely
thankyou so much in advance!

My friend used this photographer who is quite cheap considering you can get all your images on disk http://www.purpleclouds.co.uk/web/weddings
My friend's photograph's look amazing too - but he is more modern than traditional, it depends what style you want.0 -
I'm not sure what you call expensive or what your budget is. However I can strongly recommend Jenny Martin

Her photos are excellent and she's such a lovelt photographer. If I wasn't getting married in the North-east she was my No.1 photographer to chooseTurning our clutter to top up our house deposit: £3000/£303.05 we're on our way!0 -
Friend of a friend has just set up in Manchester and is offering half price for 2012. Haven't personally used her though.

He's worked for The Times, Hello magazine and shot Brad Pitt, so I'm presuming that he may not be in the low-budget category.
His photos look great though, as you'd expect.0 -

I think a lot of people get the wrong idea about wedding photographers. Many see the photography as an unwanted extra that they could do without.
What other aspect of the big day will be there AFTER the big day?
The wedding cake will be eaten, the limo will have gone before you sit down to eat, the guests go home (at some point!), The music finishes before 1am, the catering is eaten the same day. You'll only wear the dress once.
The wedding photos are the ONLY aspect of the day that will be with you years, if not decades later!
A good wedding photographer will spend around 50 - 60 hours editing your photos. This doesn't include at least two pre wedding day visits to you, visiting every location and several visits to you after the big day!
Professional camera gear isn't cheap. nor is all the insurances that are required. Will your other suppliers have a back up dress, cake etc incase of mishaps? The photographer will have spare cameras, lenses etc. I even carry a portable studio in case of bad weather!
If you think a photographer is expensive, ask your car mechanic, plumber, electrician or other professional for a quote for 50 - 60 hours of work. While your at it, ask them to garuantee the work will still be around in 100 years!
Work out how much you are paying your photographer for the best part of a fortnights' work. It isn't that bad now is it? In fact, it's probably ridiculously cheap for what you get!0 -
This thread is a year old so am assuming the OP has found someone and had her wedding by now.0
