E:Unknown 1GB MP3 Player £60+VAT at Makro
VH
Don't know whether it's any good, but seeing as the Aria 1GB MP3 player is no longer on Super Special, I noticed that Makro have a very similar one for £60 + Vat. In stock starting Wednesday. If anyone is passing please let us know if it's any good.

Feel free to slate me if it's crap!!!!!

This looks very very similar to one I have, albeit a 512Mb version. I think (can't be sure) that most of these have more or less the same parts and are assembled in China and Taiwan.
However do make sure it contains the features you want. In particular some of them have extra features such as an internal FM radio - don't be fooled by the "internal" FM radio on the headphones - I think they can be a pain!
Some have extra "graphic equaliser" functions. I can record directly from the radio to the FM player; I can record meetings.
The quality of the MP3 player is great. I'm a real fan of these players, and I feel they are much better value than the IPods out there. having said that I've never used an iPod for more than a few minutes so might change my mind if I had one!

I would bet my house that this is basically the same as the 1gb MP3 I got off ebay (I paid £51 including p&p). I've had it 2 months and I think it's very good.
Mine supports mp3, WMA, has internal FM, FM recording function, voice recorder (surprisingly good) and I get about 15 hours off a AAA 900 mAH rechargeable battery.
Navigating between folders can be a bit slow, but all in all this was a fantastic buy for me. I compress most of my albums to at least 160kb/s and can get about 12 full albums on. Transferring files across is pretty quick to. You can also use it as a flash memory drive and on mine you can partition the drive and set security on it as well.
In my opinion this would be a good buy for someone who isn't bothered about taking their entire music collection with them and often needs to transport other files such as word documents etc.0 -
The only word of warning - it looks exactly like the ones that you get off Ebay for £50. The warning - bought a 256mb one for twenty pounds but after 2 months the mode button fell apart - so I can only use it as a flash stick now. Still not bad for twenty pounds.0

Care to name your e-bay seller at all - there's so many on there that it would be good to get a recommendation?
