Notice payment

I was let go by the company I had worked for after only being there for two months on Monday and was still in probation period. In the final meeting I was informed I would be paid one weeks notice. However when I received a letter from them the company secretary has put the incorrect date 19th instead of 12th to be paid up to. My question is if I am only paid up to the 12th can I tell them they have paid me incorrectly as letter is stating 19th?
Thanks

If they make an accidental overpayment they can recover it any time in the next six years (five in Scotland) whether you have told them about it or not.

They will of course owe you a small amount of holiday (assuming you have not taken any) this will amount to about five days so maybe that is the reason - although an odd way of expressing it?

I suppose it could be just classed as a clerical error so you wouldnt be able to do anything. Will you be actually working your notice
    up to the 12th

Hope you find a new job soon.

    Hi
They didn't want me to work my notice. Its not holiday pay as this has been written down seperately. It is a clerical error and because of the date being written down can I make them pay me till the 19th as this is what is written in my letter? They haven't paid me yet and I believe I will get paid on the normal payday
