Bought one of these this morning - label price £3 went through the till at £2.50. Nice plants which will make a stocking filler style present :-)

Hi do you have a picture of the plant please?
I have a couple of Bamboo plants i've bought from Homebase - they are meant to be very lucky and have to say have worked for me - most important thing is not to water them with tap water unless its been sitting for over 24 hours (the chemicals will kill it)A home is not a home ..... without a dog0 -

Sorry Dawnie - no picture :-(
They are with the houseplants in the store. You get a black or cream coloured short rectangular dish with 4 pairs of bamboo stems which have been tied into a "plait". Mine are about a foot tall including the dish.
Care instructions are to keep the dish filled with shallow water, change it weekly and never let it dry out. No need to feed. Place in well lit position away from mid day sun. 15 to 20 degrees C.0 -
Sounds the same as the ones i got from Homebase - cream or black dish with chinese writing on. If so thats a good price as they were reduced to £4.99 in Homebase. Little tip i found was to replace the polystyrene inside the dish and also i trim the bottom of the stalk as it dies off.A home is not a home ..... without a dog0

No local garden centre?
You could probably get one for about a pound.
PS - they don't work:D0 -
My hubby bought one for my mum 5 years ago and its still going strong. When the shoots get to long she cuts them and puts them into another vase with small pebbles and it becomes another plant. Love it. thanks op i will buy one today.0
