Did you watch the BBC2 programme The Choir: Military Wives?
If you didn't know it was about a group of military wives you came together to form a choir whilst their husbands were away fighting in Afghanistan. They performed in several locations including Sandhurst at the passing out parade before performing at The Festival of Remembrance in front of the Queen and other members of the Royal Family. The song they sang "Wherever you are" was written especially for them by Paul Mealor (he is a well known songwriter who wrote a song for The Duke & Duchess of Cambridge that was performed at their wedding earlier this year).
I'm not associated with them in any way, i'm just a big fan of theirs! They are releasing "Wherever you are" on the 19th December but it is available to pre-order from Amazon.co.uk now! It is £1.99 and you get 2 tracks, both written by Paul Mealor!
It would be fantastic to get this song to number 1 and beat the X factor single that usually wins. For all the military wives out there, not just the ones from the choir it would be a fantastic achievement and would make their christmas even more special!
It is such a moving song, really lovely words.. Paul wrote it whilst reading letters and special momentos that the wives' husbands had sent them.
