Hi, has anyone made a pom pom scarf?
http://www.monsoon.co.uk/pom-pom-scarf/invt/98741135/
Saw one today in town in above link. It looks reallly cute but £22 for a scarf!.
I remember how to make pom poms from school with the 2 cardboard rings as templates, then wrap wool around cut round edges and tie round the middle. Sound right so far?
The scarf was threaded over about 5 long strands of wool at a guess and there was big Knots in between each one.
Where is a good place to buy wool cheap online
We only have an expensive wool shop in town and i cannot think of anywhere else that would have it.
I wonder how many pom poms i could make out of one ball ?
Any ideas ? I don't think i would use as many colours maybe use one colour thats flecked with others maybe?

i knitted my sisters a scarf each, i used two standard size balls of wool and put tassels on one and pom poms on the other. yep you are right with the two circles, wrap the wool round the circles then cut all the way round and tie with wool then pull the cardboard off the ball. my pom poms were smaller than the monsoon ones.0
