Have any of them mentioned it since?

Most wouldn't even take it too seriously when it was done drunkenly, unless she wrote out invitations and handed them out. If it's not been mentioned by them, just avoid the subject and it's unlikely many of them will pull her about it.

I wouldn't worry about it too much - I wouldn't take it seriously if someone did that when I was out. I sincerely doubt someone would pull me up on it if I accidentally invited people. Just don't send out invites. And certainly don't let your OH become tipsy in their company again!!!

If I was your work colleague I wouldn't really assume I was invited... I would expect an actual invite... I know better to take anything said at a work do to heart! If your OH was obviously drunk, then I don't think it should be a problem. When they don't get an invite they will realise, and if they remember and ask just say you had to cut down on numbers.

  • As said I don't think any would take it to seriously -and if they don't receive a physical invite won't know the details anyway and take the hint.

And if anyone does say anything just explain you had to revise the budget and although originally hoped all could come unfortunately no longer can, and anyway if you don't like the majority who cares? :P

Use the gem well looking at the numbers we are only allowed x due to health and safety its the venue's rules and they are strict as they could lose their license etc.

    I've been Money Tipped!
I would definitely not assume I had been invited. As others have said, unless they have recieved a written invitation, don't worry about it :)
