I have now contacted Lee through CAG. So we'll see what happens. I am going to have to tell the poor vendors we were all set to buy from this weekend. I feel so guilty about letting them down, not to mention gutted for myself that is this isn't sorted soon someone else will be living where we thought we would be. I'll certainly let people know what happens.

Hi everyone,
I have now contacted Lee at Vodafone as the last resort before I have to pass it on to my MP and OTELO.
I have spend over 10 hours now putting all the documents together and writing letters so hopefully it will all be sorted but if not then at least it's all in order before it goes any further.
I can't seem to think about anything else at the moment. I just hope I haven't made any mistakes in my letters!
I will keep everyone posted on my progress. Thanks again for all your interest.

Good .... there should be real progress with this, now you have Vodafone. and their on lin rep Lee involved.
Whilst, it is of course true that no company want any customers to be dis-satisified or have issues that they feel poweless to overcome without publication or others assistance - sometimes such situations do occur. The result of which, from the company's point of view is provides them a great opportunity to demonstrate how good their customer care really is .. after all the true test of how a company values its client base is how they deal with their dis-satisfaction !
I am a vodafone business customer, and I can only say that I have had nothing but good experiences with them over the last 10 yrs, since I switched my account to them - which hopefully will continue.
Thanks to Lee for picking up the mantle on this, FB do keep us posted ...

Hello Everyone,
I apologise for the late reply to this thread but I was waiting in the hope that I would be able to tell you all a completed tale but that's not the case yet. Earlier on this week Vodafone removed the default and the disputed debt which is fantastic, though there was no apology or goodwill gesture. I didn't expect one - we were just pleased to have it all sorted.
However, there's some doubt as to whether the mortgage will go ahead now as we had three declines which are now on our Experian record, so it goes on...
But I want to say how fantastic Lee from Vodafone is. He rang when he said he would (a rare commodity these days), was really understanding of the situation, was able to offer advice and certainly got a speedy response. We were pulling our hair out until Lee came along. We are really grateful to him for all his help and for getting the default removed so quickly. I can't praise him enough. THANKS LEE!
Thanks also to Holly for pointing us in the right direction and replying to our posts.
I hope to be able to say that it's all sorted in the next couple of weeks.

I'm just so glad I spotted your post and was able to refer you to Lee - and as I thought he has sorted this out for you in double quick time .. so I would also say a big thanks to Lee too !!
If you submit your app with an explanation as to why there have been prev searches, the reason why you were declined i.e vodafone default which has now been removed by the provider as incorrect - you should be ok. (if that was the only issue)
Good luck ... hopefully the new year will see you in the dream home you mentioned in post no 1 !!.
