Asda online shopping newbie....help!

I did my first online shop on sunday and now i'm all confused!
I've just been told i have to book my delivery slot early for xmas.Can i book more than one at a time i.e this sunday,next sunday and the wed before xmas (if avaliable).
If so,do i have to fill my basket and then pay for it to confirm the slot each time......then can i add to the orders in the coming weeks until the delivery day.....the website doesn't explain this very well!
I know i am being a bit thick but all answers helpful

hi normally you can add to or change order the night before delivery
I normally start my shopping on the wed and finish it on thursday for friday/monday delivery0
