Jobs advertised on linkedin

Does anybody have experience of applying for a job advertised on linkedin?

I have seen a job advertised on there by a recruitment company called Web Recruit. Is this legit?

not heard of web recruit, but in general if making contacts via linkedin, including agencies/head hunters, then my experience would be a positive one.
  • I worked with Web Recruit in the last year or so, they were no better or worse then the majority of the recruitment agencies out there.

i've used them recently, but it hasn't come to anything (yet) - don't seem any better or worse than your average outfit.

certainly don't seem to have a dodgy aura about them, if that helps to reassure (obviously i've never got a job with them yet - just applied and am half way through the process for a job i saw advertised there).
  • Web Recruit is legit, I have used them in the past (as an employer), they are an E-Recruitment company rather than an agency but in practical terms that will make little difference to you if you wish to apply. This doesn't guarantee the company Web Recruit are working for are legit but I'd say go ahead and apply and just double check the employer etc if you get through to the next stage.

yes, that pretty much tallies with my experience (as a candidate) - not much different to when I applied via Hudson or one of the really big recruitment companies.

Although with Web Recruit, I obviously haven't had a face to face registration session (just applied online, submitted documents, notification that they'd vetted my app, looks good, details have been forwarded onto their client).
