My new tap won't turn off!

Options
Hi here

I had a new kitchen fitted in August and now my lovely new mono tap won't turn off! It is just the hot tap and I assume it's the washer, but don't know why it would have gone so soon after fitting?

Anyway, I have never done any plumbing and so am wondering whether I should have a go at fixing it myself (assuming it is the washer) or whether to get a plumber out.

Any advice welcome!

sounds like the taps faulty millie,is it screw down or quarter turn ?
if its quarter turn the ceramic discs may be scratched due to trapped scale,
if its , screw down, the screw within a screw, inside might not be manufactured properly/seized,
or more then likely, debris may be trapped on the seating/washer, or the washer or seating may be damaged,
turn the water off and get your bahco adjustable spanner out .........
