I opened up a HMV order about 1.5 weeks ago. Still on order, and annoyingly were instock (they had "loads") at John Lewis in Southampton this week, although comet/dixons etc had none.

Still, HMV have confirmed item is still on order for my order, although no new ones can be ordered so I'll wait for my discount...

Yes you're right. The iPod mini uses a MicroDrive which is like a super small hard drive. It has a 32mb buffer though so it should be resistant to most jostling...I'm not sure about a motorbike though
