Working hours (nights)

Just a quick one (I promise)

I've had my Christmas rota in and have a query over working hours and can't make any sense out of the DWP website. My Christmas week rota has me working an 8pm to 6am shift on Dec 19/21/22/ 23rd ..no issue with that..but Dec 24th im back in nine hours later at 3pm till job end. with travel that gives me 7hours off to sort the kids, eat, and get some kip..pushing it even for me From what i've read night working hours don't apply to me as the limits dont apply during "busy times" am i correct in that

If you are in retail, it doesn't apply in busy periods. It also doesn't apply if you opted out. And it is a "right to" a minimum 11hrs off, not a "must do" so it means that you can choose to have less time off but an employer cannot force you to.

9hrs off never seemed that great to me when I was driving wagons so I can understand why you don't want to.

Cheer's I was hoping to push it into coming in a bit later..don't think that will happen....will just have try and see it as a bonus..i will be moaning come January that there's no work going
