Which book?

Hi I am wanting to buy a book each for my sons and son in law. I can't find any that fit the bill. I thought for fun I would buy a book/dictionary of trivia or big words so they can learn some new "decent" big words. This is meant to be a fun item but so far no joy. I have seen one which is a Geeks Dictionary but nothing else. All 3 are articulate bright men with fantastic humor so I thought it would be literally a new conversation point. It could be the same book for all or a different book each? Not trivia on drinking etc as they don't drink anything stronger than milk. :rotfl:

i like the New Scientist books which answer age old questions in a scientific but very readable way. some examples here
